Lublin ranks high among European Cities and Regions of the Future 2022/2023
In this year ranking, Lublin received distinctions in two categories. It was once again recognized as an attractive place for foreign investors and took 6th place (out of 114 accepted applications) in the category “Foreign direct investment strategy among small cities with a population between 100,000 and 350,000″. What is more, Lublin came in 9th place in the business-friendliness category, proving itself as a global entrepreneurial centre that provides business support.
The last two years show that the outbreak of Coronavirus has negatively affected global foreign direct investment (FDI) flows, nevertheless, the distinction received by Lublin proves its constant strong position and business potential. The consistently implemented strategy to increase Lublin’s attractiveness and innovativeness as an area open and ready for foreign business brings today tangible results. It is best illustrated by the growth in the value of foreign capital invested in Lublin per capita, which in 2019, compared to 2011, has increased by 178%. I am glad that Lublin is regularly recognised and appreciated by foreign entities. It is an unquestionable promotion of the city in the international arena, says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.
