Successful alternative city transportation system

Another city cycling season has been highly successful for Lublin.  Since the third week of March and the last week of November, city bikes were hired over 850 thousand times, which is over twice as much as it was last year. Since the system was launched, city bikes have been cycled over 1.4 million times with  approximately 3.4 thousand journeys a day, every 25 seconds each. In May only, Lublin citizens used the bikes over 170 thousand times.  The most active citizen made 1600 city bike journeys in total, whereby average hire time was 16 minutes and 30 seconds. Toll-free rents (less than 20 minutes) represent over 80% of the total number of  city bike hires.  Additionally, twenty city bikes for children were hired nearly two thousand times and five tandems were cycled 2,646 times.

Another season is opening on 1 April 2017.
