Innovative diabetes care: Lublin-based Walletmed’s technology and future plans

According to data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), around 537 million people worldwide are living with diabetes. IDF forecasts suggest that by 2045, 1 in 8 adults, approximately 783 million people, will be affected by diabetes, representing a 46% increase. In response to this challenge, the medical technology (medtech) sector is rapidly evolving and working on innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for patients and revolutionize diabetes care. The biotech startup Walletmed, founded by a Lublin native, has joined this revolution by creating advanced technology – a subcutaneous optical implant for glucose measurement.
