City to promote creative artists and creators

The new edition of the "Creative" project is launching, aiming to support artists and creators in Lublin’s creative sector. Selected participants will benefit from a comprehensive promotion of their profiles and work through photography and film.

The “Creative” project provides a space for inspiration and the exchange of experiences. It is a unique initiative that bridges art, craftsmanship, and technology, demonstrating that the diversity of the creative sector is one of our city’s most valuable assets. Central to the project is the belief that those in creative industries, with their natural inclination towards innovation, represent a distinctive group of entrepreneurs. Discovering talented artists and showcasing their work as inspiring examples of market practices supports our bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2029, says Beata Stepaniuk-Kuśmierzak, Deputy Mayor of Lublin for Culture, Sports, and Participation.

The project is open to adults associated with the city of Lublin. Artists and creators who develop unique concepts, innovative solutions, or run unconventional and inspiring businesses are eligible to participate. The project is inclusive, meaning that participants do not need to run a business to apply. Applications can be submitted by the individuals themselves or by third parties. The online application form must include a link to a portfolio showcasing the applicant’s work. A committee will review the portfolios and select ten finalists based on innovation, originality, scope, diversity, and artistic value. The application deadline is October 18. The application form and regulations are available on the website przedsiebiorczy.lublin.eu.

The “Creative” project offers support to artists and creators in priority sectors of the local economy by promoting their profiles and activities. Selected participants will take part in an extensive photo shoot, which will produce portrait shots, visual descriptions of the creative process, images of the workspace, and the final product. The photo sessions will be complemented by interviews about motivation and the creative process, resulting in short film documentaries. All photographic and film material will be provided to the participants and can be used to promote their work.

Each edition of “Creative” concludes with an event featuring a photography exhibition, film screenings, and a stage presentation of the project’s participants, attracting the attention of the public and media. The project’s concept and its participants will be actively promoted on social media and through traditional media channels.
