NOYEN has joined forces with scientists from the Lublin University of Life Sciences and KUKA to combat coronavirus.

A few days after the introduction of a virucidal disinfectant “Noyen Protect +” to the market, the company is finishing the design of a device, which will be used for fully-automated and maintenance-free disinfection of production spaces, warehouses or communication routes.

“We have just started the stage of prototyping and tests”, says Zbigniew Kurant, CEO of NOYEN.

Thanks to the device, disinfection of production spaces and communication routes will be performed more precisely, quicker, in a repetitive manner, more efficiently in terms of agent application and, what is key in the situation we face now, without human intervention so that nobody is exposed to direct harm.

NOYEN’s solution will also allow for programming robot’s working hours and designating areas to be disinfected. This innovative project is carried out in collaboration with the Lublin University of Life Sciences and the global provider of robot-based automation KUKA. The project is coordinated by scientists from the University’s Faculty of Production Engineering: Prof. Sławomir Kocira, BEng, PhD, DSc who is responsible for research coordination and supervision of spraying techniques, Prof. Edmund Lorencewicz, PhD, DSc who manages the research process, Prof. Bożena Nowakowicz-Dębek, PhD, DSc who is responsible for the area of combating the virus and Milan Koszel, BEng, PhD, DSc who deals with research on the spraying process. Łukasz Wlazło, PhD, DSc and Marek Milanowski, BEng, MSc are also part of the team.

Additionally, NOYEN has developed another virucidal disinfectant, which is now at the stage of registration in the List of Biocidal Products kept by the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products. The new agent called „NOYEN Protect Care” is alcohol-free and non-flammable, which makes it possible for the product to be used in production spaces and warehouses.
