Post-investment assistance made by Lublin

The German company Data Modul is one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialised display, touch and system technologies for industry. The Panattoni Lublin industrial park is home to a modern production plant and a logistics centre covering an area of 16,000 sqm.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main factors directly affecting the growth of Data Modul’s Lublin site. According to the company representatives, one of the greatest assets of Lublin is intellectual capital of human resources. In particular, the company plans to initiate collaboration with the Lublin University of Technology. In Lublin, there are 9 universities and colleges with more than 61,000 students and about 17,000 graduates entering the labour market each year. The local universities are recognised and selected by the growing pool of foreign students. Currently there are more than 6,300 of them, which makes Lublin the country’s leader in terms of internationalisation of higher education.

The Mayor and Data Modul’s representatives also addressed the topic of the company’s further investment plans. Over the next few years, the Lublin subsidiary will increase the employment from 75 to around 200 people and spend further millions of euro for the growth of its facility. So far, Data Modul invested about 3 million euros in the development of the Lublin plant.
